As we begin Fiscal Year 2027 there are some changes in Plantation Acres that you should know about. Plantation Acres Improvement District (PAID) will now operate as a dependent special district of the City of Plantation. As always you should call 911 for an immediate threat to life or public safety. For any questions regarding stormwater operations and emergency response, please contact the City of Plantation Stormwater Division at 954-797-2282 or AskStormwater@plantation.org. For any questions regarding engineering or permitting, please contact the Engineering Department at 954-797-2781 or sshalan@plantation.org. New permit applications should be submitted through the applicable City of Plantation permitting process, with the City coordinating any PAID engineering or drainage review that remains applicable. Adoption of the City of Plantation 2025–2045 Comprehensive Plan was tabled to the September 9 Council Meeting following concerns from residents including members of the Plantation Acres Homeowners Association Board of Directors. Given the significance and long-term implications of this plan, we believe all residents should review the more than 500 pages of material contained in the proposal. This is our chance to ask questions and better understand how the plan may affect the future of the City of Plantation. Links below.

The Plantation Acres Homeowners Association Board of Directors has requested that the second reading of the City of Plantation 2025–2045 Comprehensive Plan be rescheduled. Given the significance and long-term implications of this plan, we believe all residents should be provided additional time to thoroughly review the more than 500 pages of material contained in the proposal, become informed, ask questions, and better understand how the plan may affect the future of the City of Plantation before it is considered for adoption.

Plantation Acres recently reached a significant milestone when voters approved the dissolution of the Plantation Acres Improvement District (PAID) and the transfer of responsibility for flood control and water management to the City of Plantation. This outcome reflects many years of devoted effort by tireless volunteers who worked diligently to give their neighbors the opportunity to determine how these essential services would be governed. Food Truck Wednesdays at Volunteer Park Every Wednesday from 5-9pm

Plantation Baptist Church is seeking to host community events as well as provide enrichment classrooms and auxiliary space. The site modifications propose adding a gym building east of the existing church. The building will contain basketball courts, retractable seating, a stage, storage, seven classrooms (600 SF each), a commercial kitchen, formal building lobby, support offices, restrooms and other interior support spaces.
