Plantation Acres recently reached a significant milestone when voters approved the dissolution of the Plantation Acres Improvement District (PAID) and the transfer of responsibility for flood control and water management to the City of Plantation. This outcome reflects many years of devoted effort by tireless volunteers who worked diligently to give their neighbors the opportunity to determine how these essential services would be governed.
To those who contributed to this effort, thank you for your hard work, commitment to the democratic process, and your dedication to the future of Plantation Acres.
This achievement would not have been possible without the active participation of the residents of Plantation Acres. We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who cast a ballot in the election, regardless of which option you selected. By becoming informed and exercising your right to vote, you demonstrated strong support for the future of our community. Civic participation is the foundation of effective government, and your involvement ensured that this important decision reflected the will of the electorate.
We would also like to thank the commissioners, staff, and colleagues of PAID who worked to better operations and standards within the limited scope of the district.
The Plantation Acres Homeowners Association remains committed to improving all aspects of our neighborhood and building upon the strength of our engaged community. We hope you will join us in our efforts moving forward.
