The proposed revised Charter is a rewrite of the existing Charter that was adopted in 1953 when the City of Plantation was incorporated. The Charter has been amended over time, but this was the first comprehensive review of the entire document by a citizen board.

The City of Plantation will be temporarily switching to free chlorination in its drinking water system beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2022 and ending at 8 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022.

We have learned that Rob Steigle has come to the city’s Development Review Committee with plans for 4th Street Estates, 4 separate homes to be parceled on the 4 Acres that face 4th Street. This is what the code permits in RS1-EP, and we couldn’t be happier. We do not have any information about the other 7 acres behind that, but this is progress! We are not letting our guard down.
